As it states in the description these shoes DO run a half size big. I have always been a 9, but when I received them they were slipping off my feet big time. I don't have narrow feet either, they are normal/maybe slightly wide. I exchanged for an 8 1/2 and the size is much better.
I kept the 8 1/2, they are a little tight in the toe but I think will be fine with a little breaking in, however, I wouldn't recommend a gel insole. I wear 3" heels on average and these will be just right for my wedding. The jewels on the toe are super sparkly which will go perfectly with my vintage glam Hollywood look.

Again, the 3 1/4" heel with the platform are comparable to the 3" heels I wear to work. I have never gone below an average size 9, in fact, on some narrower shoes I have had to get a 10, yet in these I needed an 8 1/2.

The online description indicated that I should order a half size down because the shoe runs a little big. I did, but it was too small. Solution: wear them with a thin trouser sock several times before the event. I had them for 4 dance lessons with socks & they worked out perfectly for the wedding. The key is to give yourself time to stretch them just enough.
